2D ULTRASOUND
2D Packages
2D ultrasound (also known as a traditional ultrasound) is instrumental in providing valuable information to expecting moms in early pregnancy such as:
- number of embryos (suspecting multiples),
- confirming viability (between 5-6 weeks),
- accurate pregnancy dating,
- seeing a heartbeat (6-7 weeks) and
- determining gender (14 weeks). *
- The earliest sneak peek at your baby (5-6 weeks by your LMP)
- 5-10 minute 2D ultrasound session as early 5-6 weeks
- 2 printed 2D black/white photos
- See your baby’s heartbeat and measure bpm (if applicable)
- Measure your baby (CRL) <14 wks for unofficial pregnancy dating
- Giving you the reassurance and visual confirmation you want in your first trimester

how to prepare for your ultrasound
Before Your Appointment
Here are a few tips/reminders for your upcoming appointment:
- increase your h20 intake (2-3 days) prior to your appointment (superior hydration can give us a better window, thus allowing for clearer pictures of the baby)! No need to have full bladder for your appointment.
- eat a little something prior to your appointment to get your little one up and moving!
- Remember to wear something comfortable (no one piece rompers or dresses!)
- Do not put any moisturizer on your belly before your appointment (sometimes it can work again the ultrasound gel and make your pictures less clear.)
